Switching things around
It seems as if the ARG idea wasn't the greatest, especially considering Devine.
During consult Wouter suggested that I try and find something more creative, more in line with Devine, the students and the skills they have.
I looked around for inspiration and found Spotfy experiences. These are made as ads for different companies like Nike, Adobe, and Starbucks to promote their product or service with integration into Spotify.
The experiences vary quite a bit, from a simple website for Microsoft Teams to a full on 3D experience for Nike's new Nite joggers or even custom videos, 3D models, shaders and voice lines from Abel aka The Weeknd to promote his latest album.
I plan to make one of these 3D experiences myself, delving into Three.js or similar libraries while using React to easily show data and responsive content.
The idea itself is in an early stage and still needs some work, but I feel like this is way more creative than a technical ARG.
I'll also have to look into Spotify's API to see what's possible with it and what the limitations are.
I assume that the experiences they make have a deeper integration into the API and possibly use endpoints which aren't documented or available to every developer.
Wether that is the case or not, I dont think that would pose any issues.A little reverse engineering never hurt nobody... right? (this is a joke)
